List of State Functions

Introduction on list of state functions:

The term state function in math is used to represent or state the domain and range present inside the function. The term function is define as the special type of relationship that is found between two values .where it is defined that input value which always produce one output value exactly .In this chapter let us discuss about the list of state function in detail with suitable examples and explanations. Having problem with Finding Inverse Functions keep reading my upcoming posts, i will try to help you.

Representation on List of State Functions:

The function is always represented as f(x)
Where (x) is found to be the value that we give

Example Problem Based on List of State Functions:

Example 1: Based on list of state function

Solve the problem by listing out the state function of domain and range in the give values {(1,-2),(4,6),(5,5),(3,2),(4,2)}

Solution:

Given: The values of domain and range is given as {(1,-2),(4,6),(5,5),(3,2),(4,2)}

To list out the representation of the domain and range in the given function

Step 1: The “x” values that we call it as domain

Step 2: The “y” values we call it as range.

Step 3: The 1st number that is present inside the bracket is called as `x` (`i.e` . `(1,-2)` `1` `is ` `x` )

Step 4: The 2nd number that is present inside the bracket is called as `y ` (`i.e.` (`1,-2)` `-2` `is` `y` )

` {(1,-2),(4,6),(5,5),(3,2),(4,2)}`

`Domain` : “`x terms` “= {1, 4, 5, 3, 5}

Range:     “y terms”= {-2, 6, 5, 2, 2}

Hence, we have list out the state of domain and range in a function

`Domain= {1, 4, 5, 3, 5}`

`Range = {-2, 6, 5, 2, 2}`

Thus, we have list of state function of domain and range in the given function. Please express your views of this topic math online solver by commenting on blog.

Example 2: Based on list of state function

Solve the problem by listing out the state function of domain and range in the give values {(4,-2),(1,5),(2,4),(2,2),(1,2)}

Solution:

Given: The values of domain and range is given as {(4,-2),(1,5),(2,4),(2,2),(1,2)}

To list out the representation of the domain and range in the given function

Step 1: The “x” values that we call it as domain

Step 2: The “y” values we call it as range.

Step 3: The 1st number that is present inside the bracket is called as “x” (i.e. (4,-2) 4 is x)

Step 4: The 2nd number that is present inside the bracket is called as “y” (i.e.(4,-2) -2 is y)

{(4,-2),(1,5),(2,4),(2,2),(1,2)}

Domain: “x terms “= {4, 1, 2, 2, 1}

Range:     “y terms”= {-2, 5, 4, 2, 2}

Hence, we have list out the state of domain and range in a function

Domain= {4, 1, 2, 2, 1}

Range = {-2, 5, 4, 2, 2}

Thus, we have list of state function of domain and range in the given function
