Introduction to history of geometry:-
Geometry is a cluster of math which deals with the study of different shapes. The word geometry is derive from the two word geo meaning earth and Merton meaning measuring Euclid is considered to be one of the pioneers in geometry. The geometry of plane figures is known as Euclidean geometry or plane geometry.

Indian history of geometry:-
History of geometry is helpful in every walk of our daily life. While constructing roads we draw its map and ensure its route with the help of geometry only.
In construction a house, we give different geometrical shapes like squares, rectangles or circle etc. to its rooms, courtyard etc.
Several countries of the world had history of geometrical figures from the ancient times because of its utility in life. In our country Aryans, in Vedic periods constructed altars, which were of different kinds of geometrical shapes for offering rituals.
From this we infer that people had knowledge of geometry even in ancient days. You must have heard the names of Brahmagupta and Bhaskaracharya of Ancient India history, Who have constructed towards the progress of geometry.
The credit of systematic presentation of geometry goes to the great Greek mathematician Eucna, who collected and organised all the information of geometry in a systematised form about 2200 years ago (230 B.C)

Great Indian mathematician such as Aryabhatta, Brahmagupta, Bhaskara wrote books on Geometry. From this we learn that the concept of geometry have begun from ancient times.
I have recently faced lot of problem while learning Definition of a Obtuse Angle, But thank to online resources of math which helped me to learn myself easily on net.

Third century saw the culmination of Greek Geometry. Euclid belongs to this period. Later Apollonius extended Euclid's work on geometry to conics.
Greeks are known for their acumen in Geometry and a significant contribution was made to geometry by Greeks.
Vedic period find in Geometry (Rekha - Ganit) include construction of a square, construction of a square equal in area to a given rectangle, construction of a square equal in perimeter to a circle.
Mathematicians of vedic period knew sutras related to construction of mounds for yagas and altars for keeping fire. These sutras indicated knowledge of the form a2 + b2 = c2 which we call Pythagoras theorem.
Thus we find that the Greek mathematician Pythagorean (6 BC) was not the first to discover this theorem. Pythagoras was familiar with Upanishads and learnt his basic geometry from the Sulvasutras.
History of Indian Mathematics used to begin by describing the geometry history contained in sulvasutras.
An early statement of what is commonly known as Pythagoras theorem is to be found in Baudhayana's sutra (800 BC): "The chord which is stretched across the diagonal of a square produces an area of double th size!" Ramanujan showed interest in construction of a square very nearly equal to a given circle in area. Squaring a circle is a famous problem in Mathematics having its origin in antiquity.
Even today many mathematicians are crazy about squaring the circle. Ramanujan's intuitive flash gave a rider to the theorem of Pythagoras which is a very interesting property of the right angled triangle.
