Community For Math

Introduction to Community for Math
Mathematics could be a set of related sciences, including algebra, calculus, set theory as well as geometry. These are apprehensive with study about capacity, number, shape and space and their interrelationships by using focused notation. In math, the formulas are playing a main role for solving problems. In this article, we are going to see example problems with solutions in community math.

I like to share this Changing Fractions to Decimals with you all through my article.

Example Problems - Community for Math

Example 1:

Calculate the addition and multiplication of the fractions, `3/5` and `2/3` .

Solution:

Given fractions are, `3/5` and `2/3` .

Addition:

The given fractions are having different denominators.

So, we are going to match up the denominators.

That is, `3/5` = `(3times3)/(5times3)` = `9/15`

`2/3` = `(2times5)/(3times5)` = `10/15`

Therefore, `3/5` + `2/3` = `9/15` + `10/15`

= `19/15`

Multiplication:

The multiplication of given fractions is,

`3/5` × `2/3` = `(3times2)/(5times3)`

= `6/15`

= `2/5`

Example 2:

There are totally 20 fishes in a pot. In that, 3 are Orange color, 5 are Purple color and 12 are Yellow color. Find the probability of choosing i) Orange color fishes ii) Yellow color fishes.

Solution:

Given, Total number of fishes = 20

Number of Orange color fishes = 3

Number of Purple color fishes = 5

Number of Yellow color fishes = 12

Therefore,

The probability of choosing Orange color fishes = `3/20`

The probability of choosing Yellow color fishes = `12/20` = `3/5`

Example 3:

Find the area of circle whose radius is 4.8 cm.

Solution:

Given, Radius of circle = r = 4.8 cm

The area of circle = π r2

= 3.14 × (4.8)2

= 3.14 × 23.04

= 72.35 cm2

Example 4:

Compute the median value of the numbers, 90,48,57,63,82,77.

Solution:

Given collection of numbers is, 90,48,57,63,82,77.

The total value of given numbers should be ‘6’.

The sorting order of the given numbers = 48,57,63,77,82,90.

Therefore, median is the mean value of two middle terms.

Here, the two middle terms are 63 and 77.

Thus, Median = `(63+77)/2`

= `140/2`

= 70

So, the answer for median is 70.

Understanding Rules of Differentiation is always challenging for me but thanks to all math help websites to help me out.

Practice Problems – Community for Math

Practice problem 1:

Compute the area of circle whose radius is 3.25 cm.

Answer: 33.17 cm^2

Practice problem 2:

Compute the median value of the numbers, 88,50,43,21,16,75.

Answer: Median = 46.5

That’s all about community for math.
