How to Draw Simple Triangles

Introduction of Triangles:
Let us learn how to draw a simple triangle. A triangle is one of the basic shapes of geometry: a polygon with three corners or vertices and three sides or edges which are line segments. A triangle with vertices A, B, and C is denoted ABC. A simple triangle that has two angles with the same measure also has two sides with the same length, and therefore it is an isosceles triangle.(Source – Wikipedia)


Steps to Draw Simple Triangles:


The followings are some of the steps to be followed for draw simple triangles.

Step 1:

We can draw a simple triangles ABC of line segments with the three lines.

Step 2:

Draw the triangles with three equal and opposite side in them.

Step 3:

We can draw the sides of the triangles are AB, BC and AC as shown in the figure.

Step 4:

The line segments are shown with the sides a, b and c. In this we can measure the perimeter of the triangles as a + b+ c.

Step 5:

The sides of the triangle we draw have the equal length and size as shown.

Step 6:

We can also measure the angles of the triangle in them. The triangle can represents with a symbol as Δ.

Step 7:

The three sides of the triangles have closed type as shown in the figure. We can measure by using the formula as 1/ 2 b * h.

Calculate the third angles for the triangle of two angles are 80° and 40°.

Solution:

Sum of the given two angles = 80° + 40°

= 120°

Sum of the three angles of the triangle = 180°

Hence, third angle = 180° – 120°

= 60°

The triangle has the sides of measuring 6.7 meters, 5.3 meters and 16 meters. Calculate the perimeter for the triangle.

Solution:

The given sides are a = 6.7 meters, b = 5.3 meters, c =16 meters.

Perimeter of triangle = a + b + c

By solving this, we get

Perimeter of triangle = 6.7 + 5.3 + 16

= 28 meter
