Solving simple equations is the essential to understand the algebraic concepts. In solving simple algebra we will use the polynomials. In general we know algebra mean it is one of the branch of mathematics which deals with the numbers and alphabets. Solving simple algebra performs the binary operations. the simple algebra contain basic level of operations. I like to share this solving algebra 2 problems with you all through my article.
Solving simple equations
Below are the problems based on solving simple Equations -
Problem1:
Solve the following algebraic equation X - 4 = 10
Solution:
X – 4 =10
Now we have to solve for x
So add 4 on both sides
X - 4 + 4 = 10 + 4
If we add 4 and -4 we will get 0.
X = 14
Problem 2:
Solve the following algebraic equation 2x – 4 = 10
Solution:
2x – 4 = 10
To solve for x we have to add 4 on both sides
So
2x -4 + 4 = 10 + 4
2x = 14
Now we have to divide by 2 on both sides
`(2x)/(2)` = `(14)/(2)`
X = 7

Problem 3:
Solve the following algebraic equation 5x – 6 = 3x – 8.
Solution:
5x – 6 = 3x – 8
To solve for x add 6 on both sides
5x – 6 + 6 = 3x – 8 + 6
5x = 3x – 2
Now subtract 3x on both sides
5x – 3x = 3x -2 - 3x
2x = -2
Now divide by 2 on both sides
`(2x)/(2)` = `(-2)/(2)`
x = - 1
Problem 4:
Solve and find all the solutions |2x – 1| = 5
Solution:
|2x - 1| = 5
2x – 1 = +5 2x - 1 = -5
2x – 1 + 1 = + 5 +1 2x -1 + 1 = -5 + 1
2x = 6 2x = - 4
`(2x)/(2)` = `(6)/(2)` `(2x)/(2)` = `(-4)/(2)`
x = 3 x = - 2
From the above we will learn solving simple algebra problems.
